Vence & St. Paul de Vence

Yesterday we visited two villages that are really fantastic. Vence, which is an idyllic southern French village located in the hills above Antibes. It is where we spent a lot of time, where we got married, and where my in-laws had their house. We ate in the square during another beautiful day and had a lovely lunch with family.

Below is the Mairie building in Vence where I had my official wedding ceremony (the French ceremony before having the American ceremony on the coast a week later). Also, a pic of the fam walking around and in front of one of the fountains.

And of course, lunch!

Pictured: -Steak Tartare with fries and salad -Harper eating fries with mayo (It's a Dutch thing) -My 'Salade du Grand Jardin' which was an eggplant, goat cheese, proscuitto stack served with roasted marinated red peppers and spring mix with a vinaigrette. Yum!

Afterwards, we drove over to St. Paul de Vence, an absolutely gorgeous medieval village perched on top of a mountain. It is one of the oldest villages on the Riviera and is known for its art galleries and museums as well as amazing shopping, with little boutiques full of goodies like regional food specialties, body products, hand bags, accessories, clothing, and more! I may or may not have bought a new bag. Quel surprise!

We had SUCH a nice day. The weather was perfect, again, and I look forward to what today brings!
